Message from the founder The name bitknowledge reflects both the binary roots of modern computing and the expanding landscape of knowledge made possible through these systems. As computing power and artificial intelligence continue to develop, humanity's ability to create, refine, share and apply knowledge is accelerating rapidly. Bitknowledge exists to contribute to this process by building useful technology, developing technical capability and sharing knowledge. Our current focus is on the infrastructure that makes practical use of AI possible: designing, building and supporting on-premise and hybrid AI systems, including the Linux, GPU and open-weight model infrastructure on which they depend. We also believe in experimentation, open development and the exchange of knowledge and perspectives across disciplines. This is reflected in my separate work organising AI Club UK [ai-club.uk], an independent interdisciplinary community bringing together people from different fields to explore AI, its implications, and how it might contribute to new understanding and useful work.
